If you want to become an evaluation expert, complete an online application that is available on the website of the System of Evaluation of Doctoral Schools (SEDok) at sedok.opi.org.pl.

Note: Submitting the application does not automatically result in being appointed as an evaluation team member. Experts who submitted their applications are appointed as team members by the chairperson of the Science Evaluation Committee (KEN).

Step 1 – Go to the SEDok website

You do not have to log in. Go to the How to become an expert section. Click on the Find out more and apply button to view requirements for experts.

Step 2 – Complete the application form

If you meet the criteria, submit your application. To access the application form, click on the Go to the application form button at the bottom of the page.

Complete the form independently.

Complete the entirety of the form during one session. You will not be able to save your data before sending the form. Data that has been filled in but not sent will be lost.

The candidate information section:

If you have a profile on the People of Science portal, you can download some of the data that is necessary to complete the form automatically.

To do so, insert the link to your profile in the appropriate field of the candidate information section and click on the Download my data from the People of Science profile button.

If you do not have a People of Science profile, complete the form manually.

Complete the Candidate information section by filling in your:

  • name and surname
  • Polish personal identification number (PESEL) or, if you do not have one, your date of birth
  • email, telephone number, and ORCID number.

You may also choose to include links to databases and portals, such as People of Science, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Scopus.

Provide information on your:

  • current place of employment
  • country of employment

  • domains and disciplines in which you specialise

  • degree or title in science or arts.

Remember to include your achievements, such as scientific publications and artistic accomplishments.

Fill in the fields that pertain to your experience in teaching young representatives of the scientific community and evaluation of doctoral student education quality in other countries.

Tick the appropriate boxes in the last three sections of the form to confirm that you:

  • have full legal capacity
  • have full civil rights
  • have not been found guilty of committing any disciplinary offense
  • have not been found guilty, under a final and non-appealable court decision, of any tax offense
  • did not collaborate with the state security services between 1944 and 1990.

You also have to confirm your fluency in the English language. The declarations and consents listed below are also required.

Step 3 – Send your application form

Click on the Submit the completed application button at the bottom of the screen to send your application form.

Your application form has been sent.

A confirmation message will be sent to the email address you provided in the form.

Step 4 – Click on the link in the confirmation email you have received

To complete the registration process, click on the link in the registration email within seven days of receipt of the email. Your evaluation expert application is now validly submitted.

Additionally, you will receive an email in which we will confirm the receipt of your application and provide you with a link to download a PDF version of your application.

Step 5 – Your registration is complete. Wait for the chairperson of the Science Evaluation Committee to contact you.

Heads of evaluation teams will contact selected candidates by phone or by email.
